Art Glass Books includes much more than books, and our titles encompass many glass processes, as well as, related arts and crafts. Our glass books include titles in the areas of fusing & kiln-forming, lampworking, casting glass & pate de verre, etching & engraving, stained glass and mosaics. Ancillary arts and crafts titles include glass painting, jewelry making, metal enameling, working with PMC and mixed media. We also offer a growing selection of DVDs and related software.
 

Art Glass Supplies is an exciting new area for us...one that we hope will be growing on a daily basis! Supplies will support all the areas that we cover with our books...from glass to PMC! We will do our best to supply all your needs!
 

Our Art Glass Gallery is currently in the process of development, but will constantly be changing and growing. We will be displaying a selection of works by Nartique Glass, as well as, the works of other glass artists that we have invited to join us. We hope that you will find something that you would like to make your own, because you just can't resist it! And...we also hope that our gallery will be a source of enjoyment and inspiration for all its visitors!
Some of the items that you can generally expect to find in the gallery are: jewelry, glass tiles and panels, bowls and dinnerware, lamps and sconces, vases, sculpture, and a variety of specialty glass items. We also have a "catch all" for mixed media, as we work in other media besides glass. The connecting link in our Art Gallery is that all the works are inspired in some way by the tropics or the sea!
 

Custom Glass is another growing category for us. Here we plan to display all our art glass that has been done for commissioned projects. Whenever possible we hope to show the work in-situ. Most of the works are fused or kiln cast glass. But we are not limited to those glass crafts, as we love to design stained glass and mosaics for our clients who wish a unique work of art. As in our gallery, our Custom Work includes, tiles, sinks, dinnerware, windows, wall panels, lighting, table tops, mixed media and so much more! Workshops are conducted in our state-of-the-art, Wheelhouse Studio. We offer a wide variety of workshops and classes for all skill levels, covering most glass processes, as well as, creativity and design training, and teacher certification programs. These workshops and classes run from Septemeber through May, and then we take a little time off during hurricane season! For local glass artists, we also offer weeknight classes and special instruction on Tuesday evenings, and provide Open Studio hours on Wednesday evenings. All workshops and classes have 3 students or fewer, so you will be exposed to the best of all learning opportunities!
 

This is Liz's "corner" of expertise! We decided that there are a gazillion places for you to find glass patterns and projects, so we didn't want to just duplicate that. Instead we decided that "ramping up your work" by increasing your skills in the areas of creativity and design, would be much more exciting and productive. Liz has been an expert in this field for over 30 years, in fact she has her doctorate in aesthetics and art instruction...so you can expect to make some progress...AND have some fun!
You'll find a growing number of creativity exercises and design projects, here, that Liz has developed to help you take your art glass to the next level, and as a result will ramp it up!
 

Once again, we did not wish to repeat what is available on other websites. As a writer and former News Director in commercial radio, John will be occasionally interviewing one of the PROs in the various fields of Art Glass. We also will be adding informal tips that we get from some of these same artists. Further, we consider many of you to be the pros in your studio! If you have some great tips or tricks, and we decide to publish them within this section, there will be a reward that we will announce monthly! Wheelhouse Wit, the fun part of our website, is where we all get a chance to not take everything so seriously! John "Wit" will write, collect and share his ponderings on the universe!!!
